Its got some weight to it, not some cheap diecast molded piece, this is a very durable, beautifully designed item. I'm using it for cremains, the rubber ring helps for a tight seal.Large loophole to use another cord if one so chooses, it looks like a hand carved, wonderfully true to form piece of Buddhism.

I read the other reviews and I was a little cautious. It's beautiful and well made. I do wish that it had more threads on the cap. Some of the reviews stated that it comes unscrewed so when I got it I just gave it a tight twist but not to tight to make it strip. So far after wearing it almost daily for a few months it has not come unscrewed or lost. I don't wear it in the shower or sleeping but I can't imagine it would make a difference. I plan on buying a few more as gifts.

I dig the aesthetic but it's not very functional. It really needs a deeper thread to give me any confidence to hold anything of importance, like medicine, or a loved ones ashes. I would also have liked to see a rubber O-ring to make it air and water tight. Even though I won't keep anything in it I am going to keep it just to wear.

Only complaint: The bottom portion won’t stay attached. I almost lost it several times a finally stopped wearing it.

Although the pendant was very good looking, the cap seems a bit dysfunctional. The threads on the cap itself are wide spaced and don't catch well when you screw it on. I was using it for medications and the bottom piece detached on the first day wearing it (as a necklace) while I was walking around. Not great for anything you don't want to lose. I get a laugh out of using this for ashes given...
