This watch has a cool look, but as a timepiece it's almost unreadable. The online photo makes the gears look more matte/white but really they are very shiny chrome and the gray hands of the dial totally blend in to all the inner workings. If you don't mind pulling out your phone for the actual time of day, then sure go ahead and get this as a piece of fashion jewelry.You get no instruction manual with the watch, just a card with a QR code that goes to a non-functional website. There's no day/date functionality, so it's simple enough to set the time using the stem.

This is definitely a nice high-quality men's watch. Being 40 mm it is just the perfect size but it is not too big and not too small. One thing that I must know is that the leather strap is quite stiff when you first get it out of the packaging so you will need to work it in by bending it multiple ways back-and-forth. It's very easy to wind and it's nice quiet operation is appreciated. When I look up the brand name though I'm not sure if this is a genuine Trenton watch because all the information I find says that that watch manufacture went out of business almost 100 years ago. So I'm not sure if this is the same people or not. Especially since on the back it shows the Trenton watch companies logo and date.However, that's not really a huge deal because this is a very well-made time peace and I appreciate the attention to detail especially with it being see-through on the back and the front. It's a very stylish watch that I absolutely love.

As of my review there is only one other review for this watch, i recieved this via the VINE program and i would like to address the other reviewers concern about the Trenton brand. i don't think this is a continuation of the old US based Trenton watch company which is no longer around, its made in China and doesn't seem to have the same insignias though similar. what i can say is that it is well made, functions as expected with no perceptable loss in time after a week of winding and use. it comes really nicely packaged in a brown leather box which comes inside a generic but sturdy black box. a nice product but the 200 dollar price point puts it in the same realm as other watches from well known manufacturers. this is a nice enough watch that i would love to recieve it as a present and use it.
