The Smelting ProcessSmelting is the process of extracting a metal from its ore by heating it over its melting point in the presence of oxidizing chemicals. Pure metals, such as silver and gold ingots, are created via smelting. |
Chain-making weaving patternsSpecial machines that generate a certain sort of weaving do the "chain-stitching" procedure. Interconnecting the final portions of the chain is a golden wire that is run through a mechanical mechanism that makes beautiful patterns from its fragments. In one minute, a professional device may create 600 links. |
Final stagesThe result is then coated in an unique gold-containing powder. The chain is put in a 900°F furnace, where the solder powder melts and solidifies each element. The gold chain is then cut into the desired lengths and polished using a diamond-coated metal polishing machine. Clasp fastening is also done during this stage. |

Very disappointed, this chain should last a very long time but both ends by the clasp have bent and broken, so the clasps are barely hanging on. I do not wear this necklace everyday so it hasn't been worn a lot and this already happened. Spending money on a real gold chain means it should last a lifetime, not in this case. :(
