This necklace came packaged beautifully, and would make a very nice gift. That said, I am definitely keeping mine for myself! The dainty gold chain is 18 karat gold-plated, but looks every bit like real gold. The clasp is quite sturdy, and has open links to adjust the chain to several different lengths. It usually takes a few attempts for me to hook, so I pull the holes around to the front and use a mirror to clasp it more easily.I absolutely adore the charm on this necklace! The heart is colored kelly green with gold accents, and it is the perfect size--large enough to be noticed and admired, but not corny or flashy. The charm is one-sided, but lies flat without having to be constantly readjusted.I really hope the chain doesn't tarnish at some point, because this one's a keeper!

The pictures can be misleading and hide things that you'd otherwise want to see if you were shopping in person.In this case I can tell you that this is quite beautiful and that it looks good from every angle!There's a few things I really like about this beyond just it's looks. It also feels quite substantial. It doesn't have a sense that it will just fall apart if you look at it the wrong way. And so if you're worried you may damage jewelry, this is a good choice!I also quite like the settings of the gems. The gems look quite good but they are quite solidly in place.Additionally, the finish looks quite good. I don't see any signs of discoloration or oxidation, all of which are good signs that everything is real and on the up and up.It's exactly as it looks like in the pictures and as far as I can tell as described in the listing!
