Absolutely lovely, but it is enormous. I have quite a few bee pins, and they are more or less the same size. This brooch is two to three times the size of those not-insubstantial pins. I wear brooches on sweaters in place of necklaces or scarves and I'll have to ensure any sweater I wear with this brooch can support its considerable mass.

This brooch was the perfect addition to my 1920's turban. It has a pin but also a loop to sew on if you like. It does have some weight to it but I didn't find it to be too heavy. It's shiny and very detailed. I think it looks like it's worth more than the price, although I'm no expert in that area. Its not flimsy or cheap looking. This is nice and I recommend. It would make a great gift for anyone who collects brooches.

The stones are clear and sparkly, none loose, of similar tone and character, none out-of-place. The large stone is very secure, not loose; it draws the eye without being overpowering.
