I originally purchased a tie clip for my husband through my local jewelry store. When the spring broke and I returned it to the original seller to be repaired, they told me they couldn't do it which really disappointed me. So I found this one on Amazon and ordered it for my husband. He absolutely loves it! And the great part about it, there is no spring to break it just slips onto the tie and it works fabulously. Would highly recommend this as a great purchase for anyone who wears ties.

It’s definitely good quality and design but loses a star for me because it’s just too tight. My ties and shirts are on the thick side materially so if you have a very thin shirt and silk tie this may be easy to use but for me it’s difficult to get situated and even once I do it pinches my tie down super tight to the point of indentation.

I like the weight, color, and feel of this clip. It's a very simple style, but it's feels well made. Sometimes you know you are paying for quality and I'm happy to say this feels at least like you get what I pay for. I got the "black silver" colored one, which I might describe as a "gun metal" kind of color. It's fairly accurate to the pictures, so go by that, but to my eye/lexicon I would probably not have included the word "black" if I were describing its color.

I have had different tie tacks / bars over the years. This is much better than a tack simply because it does not put holes in the tie. It is also better than the more mechanical tie bars because it is slender and does not have a big lever you need to press to operate it. It fits very well on my shirts and ties. It looks exactly how I would want a tie bar to look, simple, elegant, not too flashy, just right. I took one star off because it is pretty pricey and while it has not snagged any of my ties it has a corner that seems like it might do so.

This is a nice, simple tie bar. The gold tone color looks great in person. The tie bar has nice looking brushing but otherwise simple and classic. This is a little on the expensive side for a tie bar but it is very well made. All the edges are smooth and the back of the tie bar is tight and well constructed. It could be a few bucks less but overall this is very good.

Tie clips that are in your face never work so its nice to see that this one is more subtle. That being said, I would have like for it to be a bit smaller as its relatively long compared to a thin tie.
