I'm updating this review because I realize I had them mixed up with a pair from a different company. The finish on these earrings is definitely longer lasting than I wrote in my original review, and a jeweler friend of mine actually thought I'd purchase them to replace a pair of 14K.I bought these earrings precisely because they have a hinged back. I have to wear a mask all day at work and need to change it every couple of hours. I noticed that my better quality gold earrings with the snap bar hoops had a tendency to come unsnapped and get lost.I think these earrings are very comfortable and not at all heavy, and I'm very sensitive to weight in my earrings. The hinged back works perfectly and I've been very happy wearing all the sizes.

I have super sensitive ears to the extent that surgical steel are all I can wear without redness and swelling. Up to now I have only been able to find surgical steel studs, so I was super excited when I found these. I have been wearing them for a month or two now, and I love them! Super cute, super affordable, and no allergic reaction! Will definitely buy these again (when I inevitably lose them).

I was hesitant to buy these because of the price. I break out and itch from cheap kinds of metals and because these weren’t very expensive I was afraid they would not actually be surgical stainless steel, but I haven’t itched or broke out at all from them and I am so happy I have a pair of hoop earrings I can wear! I will say they are a little heavier than I was expecting, but it’s not a deal breaker!

These canNOT be 100% surgical steel. My ears reacted badly & are red, swollen, itchy, & crusty with yellow discharge for wearing them for only 36 hours. Surgical steel does not cause this type of reaction to me, nickle does... If you have metal allergies or sensitivities like I do, I do not recommend!
