I simply wanted a small, silver ring with a mystic topaz in it, and came to Amazon to find one. There were several interesting styles, but I went with this one because of the relatively unique bamboo-shaped band. The ring arrived in a cute little paper box, which was inside a larger, navy-blue satin bag, so this automatically comes gift wrapped. The size seems to be dead-on accurate, possibly just slightly larger than average. I do wish these came in larger sizes, but that's the only negative issue I have.The ring is exactly like the picture, the bamboo pattern continues around the band to the back, the bottom/back fifth or so is one long segment, which I like, because rings with bulky bottoms can be uncomfortable. It's still thick enough that it will take quite a lot of wear to wear it thin, though.The stone is small, I believe the ring pictured is a size 5, because the stone on mine is smaller compared to the band. This works for me, as it's not tiny, and it's still large enough to see all of the gorgeous colors that flash through it.
