From Factory Direct To You

Through the years our company has been able to witness firsthand the production process of fine gold and sterling silver jewelry since we have manufacturers who create sterling silver chain from smelting to final polishing and packaging. We also have ones who start from mixing alloys.

We watched as the sterling silver gets poured into a casting machine, solidified, then formed into a rod. We observed as the sterling silver rod is turned into a coil then into a wire, which is then distributed to different types of machines that will create the silver chain we need. We were also given the opportunity to have a hands-on experience of soldering the clasps on the silver chain.

Smelting is a procedure wherein a metal is extracted from its ore by heating beyond melting point, usually with the presence of oxidizing agents. Through smelting, pure metals such as silver ingots and gold ingots are produced.

I bought this after buying a necklace (with a shorter chain) on a lightning deal and I'm glad I did. I prefer longer chains as I don't like to feel like I am being choked to death. I've worn this almost every day since right before Christmas and it's almost the end of February, so I'm pretty sure by not it will hold up. It's not cheap feeling, it's a thin chain so it's not ugly and thick, it is legitimate sterling silver hasnt turned colors or anything and I wear it in and out of the shower/bath, etc. If you can get a good price for a nice chain do it, I recommend this and my best friend bought one for herself. Often than not we ended up getting the same things because when one of us tries it then the other takes the leap, I'm glad this one worked out so well. I was hesitant at first. :-) Also, it came in a cute velvet gift bag.

The chain is not too thick but it is well mande and pretty. I got it for a bell pendant and so far it holds the weight well. It's a great value, will get some more soon.

Love this necklace...it looks so light and delicate. At first I was concerned because it does look so delicate, but I've worn it for months with a large pendant and the chain is fine - no kinks or breaks. My hair doesn't get caught in the clasp, either. I'm ordering several more to give as gifts with pendants I've made.

This broke after just 2 wears. Took it off at night, didn't shower with it, just wore it to work 2 times and the clasp broke. You get what you pay for.

I got this when my toddler yanked on my necklace and broke it. I figured $8 was a cheap replacement in case she broke it again. I was pleasantly surprised when it was so nice looking, and prettier than the original. I've purchased 3 or 4 of these now, because I refuse to stop wearing my necklace, and I can't really give away my toddler either. Totally worth the money.UPDATE: 3/17/2016So I bought another one of these due to baby number 2 breaking a chain. I am usually happy with these because while they're easily broken with a toddler yanking on them, that isn't a quality issue and its cheap enough to replace.However, the latest one I bought broke about two minutes after putting it on for the first time. I simply put it on, sat down and it fell off, broken. When I looked closer, all of the links looked shabbily put together unlike previous purchases of the same chain from the same seller. Returned for refund.

Nice chain, but a little thin, light, if it doesn't work with the Stainless Steel Twisted Rope Style Cross I bought, in the same order (i.e., if the cross is too heavy for it), I'll "switch it out" with one of my smaller pendants/crosses, that has a slightly heavier chain. If one wears it as it is, with no pendant, it might be fine.
