Very nice studs - - pretty believable as the real deal! The setting helps this, as the metal is nicely finished and has a fine jewelry look to the design.In my personal opinion, these are of a size that appear to be real when worn. (I am baffled by reviewers who buy 2 ct. CZ per ear and then say "these look fake to me". If you aren't wearing 4+ ct. on your hand, I think 4 cts. in your ears is not believable. Most folks make a bigger investment in their wedding rings than stud earrings. These studs look like a "light carat" per ear and thus, in my view, more reasonably real, if you follow my logic.)Come with a large velvet pouch-- I guess for gift giving? If I were presenting these as a gift, that pouch would be an odd way to do so. You might want to pick up a little novelty box of some sort instead, the pouch looks like it is for a costume necklace or a large bangle or something.Overall, a nice pair of studs at a reasonable price for the quality.

I wish this product were available in a white gold setting, although I know they would cost a lot more. They are very pretty. I just won't be able to wear them for very long because the setting is sterling silver. Guess I knew that when I purchase them I just didn't realize they would be so nice looking!

UPDATE:I contacted Charles Winston customer service (via their webpage) on a Friday night that this had been an issue for more than 1 person on amazon.com, did not ask for a hand out, but did express my disappointment, and before I awoke on Saturday, I got a reply from their director of customer service. Talk about service. CW has generously offered to replace my lost earring. That's such a rare show of customer service in this day and age, that I will DEFINITELY always look at Charles Winston first for any jewelry needs. After having lost the first earring, I ordered another pair of cz studs from amazon.com from another vendor, and the difference in quality is just incredible. It's really hard to tell the difference (and I hesitate to say I totally cant, lest I disappoint my husband :)) bewteen the 1ct Charles Winston stud and my engagement ring. just gorgeous.the only non platinum or 18+K gold item that my ears could tolerate day after day, but they come out easily, so don't plug and play. I was naive enough to just keep them on and wear them and I lost one already! :'( otherwise, the quality and appearance were fantastic. i could put them side by side with my wedding ring and not tell the difference...my husband joked he should've gotten one of these for my ring.
