The central gemstone is trillion shaped and cradled in a half bezel setting. I don't know why nobody has written a review for this ring yet, but it is SO beautiful. My husband didn't like my other engagement band because it was always scratching him. So, we were looking for a ring that had a setting that didn't scratch others. After hours of researching the internet for types of settings that don't scratch and hours of searching Amazon, this ring finally came up in our search. It is a half bezel setting. It is level on one side so it goes flush with my original wedding band. It isn't super high where it catches on anything. The bezel setting makes it smooth. The blue stone is a deep blue and changes shades of blue in the light. It doesn't have a really thick band which is great for my tiny fingers.I have only had it for a few hours, but so far it is SO perfect and exactly what we were looking for. My husband says it kinda looks like a superhero ring, LOL. I LOVE IT!!
