I received my necklace and wasn't sure about the quality, however on the top of the hoop where the necklace goes through it was marked 925 so I believe they are sterling silver. Also the necklace is a bit thin for my taste but I just replaced it with another necklace that I already had. Seller responded quickly to my question.

I'm really pleased with this necklace! I was expecting it to be thin and not very well crafted. No sharp edges and the chain is delicate and still durable. My granddaughter will soon be 13 and I'm giving her the one that belonged to her great grandmother. My husband's mother placed it around my neck on our wedding day 52 years ago. She received it on her 13th birthday in 1914. At my age (75) all I need is a simple Star of David that's comfortable and doesn't need to be removed for showering or sleep. I have to say that this Star of David is absolutely beautiful! I felt it was too large for my frame! I was told by my husband and some friends that it looked really good on, however, I just felt as though it was too big. I have to mention that I am 5'2"! In any case, I really did like this necklace! It is gorgeous.
