Love how this pendant underplays the genuine turquoise stone as the background. To show the value of St. Michael's victory over the demon. Love how it uses a tarnished-looking sterling silver for the figures to make it look more classic. The silver frame around the pendant with its inscription & side crosses look lighter. These design details are fabulous & appreciated, especially for a man's pendant. My son enjoys wearing this, even though he's not the biggest fan of the turquoise color. The animated silver images of St Michael in action is what impresses him. My strong magnet test affirms what its Amazon product claims: that the pendant is of sterling silver & the chain of stainless steel. As St. Michael medallions go, this is one of the nicer ones. The metal work is lovely and the stone behind it, which i suspect is turquoise, is really pretty. I think, though, for this price, the silver could have been a finer grade. On the upside, it does make for a stronger chain, so i guess that's the trade off. For 925 silver, i feel the price could've been a bit lower.
