I got this cz necklace for myself. I am the unofficial Queen of CZs. I haven't purchased 'real' diamonds ever since cz's hit the stores. Even my engagement ring is a cz (custom made at a jewelry store - set in solid 14k gold). And nobody knows! This necklace is a classic beauty. You can wear this necklace 24/7/365. It's beautiful whether you're dressed to the 9's or in jeans & a tshirt. I will say, the chain is not very substantial - either be sure to take the necklace off at night or get a different chain that is stronger that you can wear and forget about. I'm not taking 'stars' off my review because of the chain - I think it's pretty standard that necklaces come with a 'minimal' chain so this necklace still rates 5 stars with me. The stone is 2 carats - of course not many of us can afford a 'diamond' that size but given the classic simplicity of the design, it's very believable. I've been wearing the necklace every day since I got it - I love it!
