Not sure if the chain is serling silver as the pendant is the only thing with notes of the material used. I've slowly suffered a very mild rash that lead to my itching my skin off near my neck, back of head, and back. I've wore several necklaces, I have never had to worry about materials used in necklaces. But I've sadly suffered from never ending waves of intense itching. It took weeks to realize it was the necklace as nothing else has changed (diet, laundry detergent, hair or body products, no new furniture I could be laying on. I've wore the necklace day and night since Christmas, never removing for sleeping nor bathing. I figured sterling silver was skin safe to keep on all the time, I wanted to feel safe and like I was being watched over all the time. I love the pendant but will likely replace the chain it came with. Which ruins the price tag. I won't be posting photos of the mild rash as i'm shirtless but like i said, it's mild but itchy. I'd be careful if i was someone with sensitive skin. Removing the necklace made the rash and itch go away. My husband had the same necklace, and he has also had a mild rash though he removed his more often than I did.

I was hesitant about buying this nail cross because there were only 2 reviews at the time I bought it. I am giving it as a gift so I am happy that it was nicely boxed for gift giving. I wanted a quality made cross and chain made of sterling silver, I like that it is stamped with the S925. The cross and chain are as pictured, a heavy weight, and very solid. It is well made and looks even better than in the pictures.
