Wow, am I pleased. The pictures for these earrings do NOT do them justice. The reds are so deep and saturated they practically glow; I suppose because they're red enamels over highly polished silver, light reflects off the silver back and essentially does make the enamel glow from within. Whatever it is, you have to see the depth of the red to believe it, and the ombré effect the lightest pink on the outer edge of the petals to the darkest red of the stone in the center is fantastic. As a rule, I don't wear post earrings - I'm just not that interested in them - but these really captured my heart for a couple reasons. For one, my nickname growing up was "Poppy", so as an adult I've had a fondness for the poppy flower because it reminds me of being a little girl. And, secondly, these are sterling silver, which (with real gold) is the only thing I can wear in my ears. But the biggest thing was the color. I couldn't get past or forget the color, once I had seen the picture, and went back to the product page multiple times before I decided I should go ahead and order them. And I'm so glad that I did. My ears need a little time to get used to posts again; I don't think I've had a post in my ears for a good 20 years (I always wear wire/dangly earrings), but I'm wearing them now and can't help stopping in front of every mirror I pass in the house, just to admire how gorgeous these are. And they are seriously gorgeous. Yay for poppies!!

I love poppies, and these are really cute, and well made. You can see the layers of the petals clearly, and they are thick enough to give a substantial look on your ear lobe. They look better in person than on the rendered version on the ad. The enamel appears to be of decent quality, and is transparent enough to see the silver background behind it. The only thing I would change is the tiny post provided, but no big deal, I’ll just swap them for silicone ones, which I prefer now anyway. I appreciate that they were not over packaged, and arrived in a small box with a simple cleaning cloth. These are an ageless style that lots of women would like, so great for a little gift.
