I've been ring-shopping for awhile and have picked up some pretty shoddy pieces. This ring is truly impressive. The workmanship is high quality - the stones are lovely and well set. There aren't any jagged prongs protruding and one doesn't get the feeling that a stone is going to fall out any moment. It just gives the FEEL of being a well made, solid piece. I'm also very pleased that the garnets actually look like GARNETS. Today, you're likely to get a garnet variety that is very orange - don't know where these come from, but I don't care for them. I want garnets to be "garnet" colored. These are. It's a quiet, understated ring that draws the eye but isn't garish or flashy. I'd say it's well worth the price and I'd look to this seller again for more jewelry. (Only criticism: They must use a very SMALL ring size for the photo, so that the stone cluster looks larger than it is. There's a big difference between the picture and when you actually buy a LARGE ring - I'm an 11.)I'll just add a quick note to this, having had this ring for several years now - it generates compliments wherever I go.

This ring is absolutely beautiful. The stones are far more sparkling in real life. The natural opals have lots of fire and the garnets really accent the red fire. The band is is wide and thick enough to withstand wearing. All of the prongs are tight and the ring is designed so that the tougher garners protect the fragile natural opals. I've seen others comment about is being smaller than expected. I wear a size 5 and the ring covers almost all the finger up to my knuckle. I could not have worn it if the stones and setting were any bigger. The ring was covered with foam in the box to protect the stones in shipping.

Pretty ring, but not recommended. The garnets are very tiny and the opals are milky looking. This ring would look much better with cz's to add some sparkle. Too expensive for what you get.

It's hard to find a nice garnet and opal ring but this one is absolutely beautiful. It's perfect and not gaudy looking. I'm looking forward to wearing this ring a lot.
