Went to NOLA for the first time, mudbugs (crawfish) were awesome, Bourbon St wad excellent, great food, great times, and wanted a keepsake. Saw a pendant just like this and really wanted it, but $200 was WAY out of my budget. So as usual, I turned to Amazon...and what did I find, the same quality pendant, in Silver no less! And well within my budget, so affordable that I could purchase an better chain (the one that comes with it is nice, but....) So yes, for great memories of a trip to NOLA, you wont go wrong with this purchase! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Nice lightweight medal. Have worn it quite awhile and it hasn’t discolored. Clean it with toothpaste. Gives a nice finish!

The description of this necklace was very accurate. It is so unique. The inscription is very clear and easy to read. I felt the chain was the right size for the charm. I have been to New Orleans and this fine necklace brought back some great memories. I would definiately recommend it.

I was in New Orleans and saw the water meter covers in The French Quarter and loved them. Then I found this charm!! It was a great reminder of the days spent in this awesome city. Not the typical souvenir that's for sure. Great quality and excellent clarity of the imprint.

Accompanied by one of those snake chain necklaces, this pendant arrived quickly thanks to Amazon prime.It's about the size of half-dollar coin, and the thickness of 2 quarters (maybe 2.5) stacked one on top of the other. So it is small, but not so small as to lose the details! The front shows what is seen in the picture, and the back is somewhat plain, so it's obvious which way to hang the pendant.The chain seems kinda cheap, though it's nice to have one to include with the pendant for the gift giving, as the chain can always be replaced later.The pendant is not heavy, so it doesn't seem like it would be something obnoxious to wear. It is lightweight, but the durability of it does not seem affected by this. The quality is sound, and it didn't seem like it would warp bend easily when I was holding it. If you're familiar with military challenge coins, it reminds me of the silver ones you'll find of those.The pendant's loop which allows for the necklace to be fed through appears to have been soldered on well, though the small link that attaches to that might need a quick nip-tighten from time to time. I couldn't tell for sure, because I didn't want to pull on it, but I believe the link is an open link, meaning the circle is not continuous, and any pull on the pendant has the capability to open the gap, risking the separation of pendant from chain. Sometimes people solder these gaps, but this one does not appear to be so.As far as the design, I'm smitten! My mother grew up in New Orleans, and one of the things I remember from my childhood summers there is the details of absolutely everything. Architecture, color, history, food, and people were all so detailed. Right down to the wrought iron fences, bright color palette, french culture, FOOD, and the amazing artisans on every street. That does not disclude the amazing manhole covers! This nails right on the head, the unique-ness that is The Big Easy's twinkle in the eye of creative artistic nature towards everything from top to bottom. Perfect for any true NOLA lover, even those who are VERY particular!

I fell in love with the water meters of New Orleans while hanging out in the French Quarter. I had been trying to decide on which ceramic plaque replica I would buy and just where I'd display it in my home when I came across this pendant. It is almost exactly the size and weight of a quarter and a very nice weight 18" sterling box chain was included, although I didn't remember the seller mentioning that. I am very pleased and it gets lots of attention when I wear it.
