I couldn't find anywhere in the description that said the chain would be rose gold colored. The description says sterling, and the fittings are marked as such. It's definitely not tarnish. I don't know if it's really gold-plated, so I took a star off for the ambiguity. Beyond that, I am very pleased with this necklace!The chain is fine and catches the light well without being flashy. It's indeed nearly 17" long, as described. The clasp is a small, circular spring-type one. All the rings appear tight. The soldering of one end of the chain to its end tab could have been cleaner, but it doesn't scratch or catch hair.As for the tear-drop shaped gem, it appears to be made of glass. The front is gently convex as well as facetted, but those facets aren't sharp. I would say the chain has a better chance of sparkling than this pendant. The gem is about 5/8" long, 3/8" across, and about 7/32" thick. The back has the heat-sensitive resin covered by a layer of black resin, so if the gem were reversed, it would just appear to be somewhat shiny black. There is a skinny tunnel that the chain goes through, and I suspect that's the weakest spot, especially for those who absentmindedly fiddle with their pendants.Lastly, the box it came in really is made out of wood! It's made of laser-cut pieces of wood that have been assembled together though not glued. The company name is engraved on the lid. The wood pattern is printed on paper that's been veneered to the actual wood to make it look nicer, but this means it's too easy to scuff it up with rough handling. I still think it's nifty.Overall, since I'm a sucker for shiny, whimsical things, I really like this necklace, although it might telegraph to all when I'm having hot flashes!

It's small, cute and inexpensive. I would say it's great if you're looking for cute looking accessories that don't cost a lot. The chain might pop one day by accident but the time you get out of it could be worth it.

This is listed as Sterling Silver, but both the chain and pendant are a coppery pink color and do not look silver at all. There is no stamp indicating .925, so I cannot be certain whether this is actually sterling silver or not by looks. The chain is actually quite short.The cat pendant is very cute, but it is TINY! I might advise this necklace for a very small neck, such as a child's neck for best fit.The three stars are for the cuteness of the cat pendant on the necklace. The two stars detracted are because I will not be able to use this one, however, as the design and chain size are not big enough for my taste.

This is such a pretty, dainty necklace. I love the chain, it is great quality! The stones are as picture and were not a disappointment. Overall, I love this necklace and it is definitely worth the price!!!

This pendant is made out of the same material as a mood ring, that's how it gets its blue color. This feels like it's resin with a mood ring backing - you can see at the top of the pendant, it has a clear bar where the backing is missing. The side view of the pendant is transparent - the coloring only shows on the very back, the rest of the pendant feels like clear resin. The chain feels flimsy as well. It doesn't sparkle the way I'd expect it to either - rather than sparkling, it looks dull and absorbs a lot of the light because the facets are on the front of the "gem", not the back, so it's not reflecting much light, if any. Will not buy again.

This is a cute necklace. To be honest, when I ordered it I could not tell from the advertisement photos whether it was a metal or crystal heart but was alright which ever one it turned out to be. It is a "fat" crystal heart that looks beautiful with the sterling silver chain. I did remove one star because the necklace is not adjustable and has no extender on it. Thankfully it fits me perfectly and it hangs right where I want it to. I am very happy with this beautiful blue heart necklace and recommended it for the overall quality and price point!
