I am so impressed by the quality but more to the point I am thrilled with the artistry and execution of the artist interpretation of the life tree. I haven't been really overwhelmed by any jewelry that I have purchased except for these beautiful abalone earrings. The abalone itself is incredibly colorful from pink to purple, turquoise green and black. They will go with just about any color because the abalone is, if you've ever seen abalone shell in nature, has every color in the rainbow if you look closely. The MOST amazing part of the air ring is that my abalone is beautiful shiny and colorful on both sides of the earring. If I desired to wear plain abalone ovals I could put them in backwards because they are attached to merely by a silver shepherds hook. Very comfortable, my husband loves them (BIG plus),he is not big on earrings. Speaking of which, these are not large ovals...more like the size of a quarter that has been shaped into an oval. SOOO they are tastefully present. The colors and the silver will probably go best with someone who enjoys cool colors. I very rarely wear airings that hang down. I have three piercings on each ear, from normal placement on the lobe, then two more piercings following the line of my ear.I currently wear the silver continuous ring hoops in the first two holes & my BEAUTIFUL hanging abalone backed trees so they hang down just below the length of my lobe. The silver shepherds hook is bendable and easily inserted into any piercing. After it is inserted you can squeeze the shepherds hook and The air ring gently together so they will not fall off no matter what you do. Of course you can always use a backing (like the ones they sell on Amazon, plastic fits all) If you have some trepidation about them falling off. If you are a wild and crazy lady and you dance and fling your head around I would suggest the clear plastic rubber backing that you cannot see but will keep your earring on throughout your evening...& even beyond‼️
