I have thick, sausage fingers but the shape of this ring is comfortable to wear. I can't tell you how important that was to me when I was looking around for a fine ring on special occasions. I wanted a silver one with a stone or gem in it that wasn't overly flashy or gaudy, but I wasn't sure about the shape. I'd shortly before purchasing this tried 2-3 other rings out that either didn't fit or would not allow for normal range of motion on my fingers because of their size. This one does all of that. It looks nice without being too much, has good form and functional use in wear, and was well worth the money I paid for it (slightly less than $60). To get an idea about the thickness, the inside edge is about 2.5 U.S. quarters depth in width, the sides about 3 quarters, and the stone itself about a half inch or a little more (half a quarter wide). It fits well, but may need quick adjusting if you crack your fingers.
