These are real sterling silver. The thickness (4 mm) is perfect! I always bought 3 mm’s in the past & they’re very pretty and sturdy, too, but these 4 mm’s “take the cake”! They’re not only quite durable and sturdy but they’re pretty and very shiny. I love ‘em! The size is great, too! I believe these are 50 mm in circumference. Big, but not too big! I am a young 66 year old female & the size of these hoops suit me well for everyday wear and/or for any special occasion. I think I should also mention that I bought a new 3 mm/50 mm pair, also. I alternate between the two as they both are lovely hoop earrings. Don’t hesitate to buy a pair. They are real sterling. They come beautifully packed as a bonus! Enjoy!

I ordered 2 sets of these earrings because I liked them so much. Out of the 4 earrings from the 2 sets, 3 have had the same clasp piece to break off. I only wore each set 2 weeks or less and I do not consider myself rough on jewelry.
