this ring is quality -- the detail is quite nice and it's a sturdy ring.. won't bend under pressure. The black cat will "shed" and become silver in about 3 minutes (just wash your hands once without taking this ring off). Having said that, I don't mind the silver kitty; they should have just made it all silver in the first place since I don't see any way to maintain the black part of the ring even if you take if off every time you get your hands wet. It's a nice ring with good detailing so I would still buy it again and recommend it - - just don't expect to keep the black cat! I also love the fact that it comes with the plastic ring guard to wrap around the back of the band which helps keep the ring from spinning around on your finger.
