I bought this to replace a sterling silver chain that broke. When I first received it I thought it was broken so I returned it for a replacement. That one too, appeared to be broken. The clasp is attached, but there is a tiny silver "rod" that slides into a small ball on the end to attach it. I have never seen anything like this and I will say it is not for people with vision problems, long fingernails, or pretty much anyone. I don't like it all. I certainly would not buy again.

The media could not be loaded.  This chain is GORGEOUS and very thin. Out of the box comes with a mini gift bag, a blue box, and the chain itself. It was weird at first, for the end was a thin stick, and you actually placed it within the other side. Then, I'm guessing you bend it. It's a beautiful color and the perfect size, but when wearing out and about, I was scared it would drop my pendant. I'm glad to say it didn't fall off once and held out pretty nicely, and I did forget eventually making this worth getting. Not only that, but the quality is spot on as there was no sign of tarnish or turning ugly nor breaking even with it being so thin showing how durable it is. Once you learn to wear it, it makes its value go up!

Cannot go wrong with a good box chain. Great for light to medium weight pendants. Very shiny and fairly sturdy. Good weight to it - not too fragile I’m afraid it’ll break but not too heavy/thick for the majority of my pendants.

Never got to wear it because it broke before I even put it on. Looks like it not made correctly and just fell apart when picked up.

I wore this frequently for a couple of weeks and it just failed to survive. This is really unfortunate because I love the way it looks, a simple dainty design. It catches the light nicely and had a bit of a shimmer to it since it doesn't have chain-like openings.Aside from the stylistic factors, I was not happy with the clasp. The spring ring has a tiny opening which makes it hard to put on yourself. That alone would be manageable, but there's also a ball and rod type thing that will occasionally slip out, and the necklace will fall off regardless of whether it's clasped.Ultimately it broke near this clasp from everyday wear after a couple weeks. Not great.

I do like the look and feel of the necklace. It has a more delicate look. What I do not like is the adjustment bar and the clasp. Both are very small and hard to handle. The opening of the clasp for the hook to go into is so small it's difficult to get it latched. When I attempted to attach a magnetic latch to solve the problem, the opening of the clasp is too small to even hook that to it. It's pretty so I want to give it a better rating but if it's so difficult to get on and off because of the hardware, I won't want to wear it.

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out the clasp, to be honest. It is a nice delicate gold chain that looks great alone. It's dainty and classic in appearance. The clasp is actually a way to adjust the length of the necklace, which is a nice feature, particularly if you want to add a pendant. A pendant would work with this, but the chain is thin so the pendant would need to be lightweight and delicate as well. But I do like that the adjustable length gives you some versatility. This is a nice gold chain that gives you options in terms of wear. It came in a nice gift box with a matching gift bag, which was a nice touch. The price is right, too. Definitely recommend!

Update: I haven't taken this necklace off. Holds the pendent perfectly & not once did the clasp fail.It's as shiny as when it was still in the box. Dainty as this necklace is that turned out to be a plus. I've left it on hidden under tops that I wore silver necklaces with. You couldn't even tell I had two totally different colored metal jewelry on.The necklace is in a nice box & includes a matching small gift bag. I anticipated it was going to be perfect. When I opened the box my 1st reaction was surprise..didn't know if I should laugh or be angry that the thinnest chain I ever saw would get away being called ab 18" necklace. Then when I saw it "was broken"..that's when I decided to take photos of this piece of "junk". Thank goodness for reviewers. I found out it wasn't broken afterall..just a very weird clasp. I dug out some magnifying glasses, inserted the straight end into the ball & the straight end bent easily with my fingernail into a semi circle. Not sure if that's the right way to create a usable clasp but it worked. I got this chain for a pendent from Poland my young grandaughter gave me that I definitely do not want to lose. Keeping the magnifying glasses on I was able to put the necklace on. Well..I'm not laughing or angry now. It looks very pretty on & is not choking me as it looked shorter then 18". I will wear it the house for now though just to be sure b4 going out that this dainty chain doesn’t fall apart to lose my pendent. It's so lightweight you can't feel it on so I keep touching the pendent to make sure it's there. I'm liking my new necklace more & more as the day goes by. I would not give this as a gift as they would have the same negative reaction at 1st as I did & think why even give me this string you call a necklace. No one else would spend all this time I did hoping I could make it work. The necklace is working, looks pretty & my grandaughter & I will be so happy when she sees me wearing her pendent. This is good to get if you know ahead of time it very very thin & the clasp is not broken..just odd.
