This necklace overall is nice. I find the pendant to be a good size, it's small but looks perfectly natural on me as a 6' tall adult.The sterling silver is very shiny. The chain is very dainty and small. The pendant fits nicely on the chain, and hangs beautifully. The stone is not overly bright but it looks cute.The only issue I have is that the clasp doesn't usually close on its own. I have to physically push the clasp closed as the spring mechanism doesn't seem to work well and it usually stays open otherwise.It would be very easy to lose the necklace if you don't ensure the clasp is closed each time you put it on.I thought the necklace was secure, but it fell off a couple of hours later while going down the stairs. I felt it fall off and found it right away, but that might not always be the case. Now I'm very careful to ensure the clasp is closed after I put it on, and I haven't had another issue since then.I love the necklace, as long as you are careful with the clasp it's easy to recommend.

With its line of tiny "diamonds', I think this is too fancy for a young girl. And the chain is very delicate. The tiny spring clasp is almost impossible for some one with either no fingernails or long fingernails.It is a small pendant, and it looks small on a taller adult. The picture second down from the top on this product page is photo-shopped and made to look larger on the model than it really is. On a petite adult this looks beautiful.The created aquamarine is precisely cut and it sparkles nicely. It holds none of that warm color that I look for in a real aquamarine. I have a pair of pricey Swarovski earrings with this same bright, cold, icy blue and it surprises me just how well the earrings match this pendant. (Unfortunately the stones in the earrings are larger than what's in the pendant.) I say this just so you are not deceived by the size of the pendant. The size is given on the product page, but sometimes people just make their assessment from the pictures.Be aware that the spring clasp is not the best. I almost lost the pendant the first time I wore it. I had it clasped, but behind my neck, unbeknownst to me, the tiny wire remained partly open and when I bent over the chain slipped off and the pendant ended up on the floor. I changed out the chain and won't trust this one again. So, I am really only considering that I got a small, pretty pendant in this transaction.
