These polar bear hoops are very pretty, marked 925 for Sterling Silver, and I like that they're mirror images so both bears face forward when they're worn.It's a real shame one of them is slightly misshapen, a little flattened at the bottom where the bear is mounted, and it's obvious when viewing the hoops side by side. It's not a big enough flaw for me to say they're defective or should be replaced, I think the jeweler who made them was a little heavy handed on the one hoop, and given the design it seems like it would be a common thing.The slight flattening isn't noticeable at all when they're worn, but it really shows when the box is first opened and that would make me hesitant to get these for a gift.

Many thanks, fellow jungle explorers, to you and the seller for the chance to try Luhe Sterling Bear Hoops and share my thoughts. Delivered in a giftbox with polishing cloth, one of the hoops was slightly bent upon arrival and I carefully reshaped it before wearing. Subsequently overnighted in these hoops without irritation or distortion. Whether or not the hoop itself is sterling, or just the stamped earpiece, the metal is soft and fine enough to adjust by hand, but sturdy enough for firm closure. The size is consistent with photo presentation, just slightly smaller than a nickle, and the clean, simple design can still be read from a limited distance. Very happy with these despite a slightly bumpy start.
