I have developed a bad allergy to certain metals and it has reduced the number and type of earrings I can wear. I also have keloids (little scar tissue lumps where the pierced holes are) and the holes have a tendency to “close up.” I thought back to when I first got my ears pierced decades ago, & remembered that the physician who pierced them had me wear small 14 karat gold or sterling silver ball studs around the clock for several months (to prevent the holes from closing and to prevent allergy reaction) . So I ordered these, and am repeating that process. I love them! They are small enough to sleep with but still visible enough as to be attractive to the eye. So far NO ALLERGIC REACTION! Very pleased. Thinking of ordering a gold pair just like them.
