I'll start off by saying this necklace is absolutely beautiful. The chain style is very unique, and it stands out from your typical Franco, Figaro, Rope, or Cuban links. I love the oxidized finish that gives it some depth and contrast. Overall, the chain has a good weight to it. It's enough to let me know that it is still around my neck, but not so much that it is uncomfortable.I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars because of the description on the listing. It is described as an 18k gold plated sterling silver necklace, but there is no indication on the jewelry that this is the case, as the hallmark simply reads 925 ID, presumably for sterling silver made in Indonesia. I must admit, while shopping for this necklace I had 3 other similarly designed pieces that I was choosing from, each cost about 20% less. In the end I went with this was because I felt upsold on the 18k gold plating, but without getting it tested by a jeweler, I just don't see the gold plating being there. Maybe a better explanation in the description would have helped me out.One other point I want to throw out into the world - Looking at the listing, I assumed that the necklace would be round with a thickness of 5mm, however, the links are semi-flat, being 5mm at the widest point, and 3mm at their narrowest. This doesn't make it a bad necklace at all, and in fact makes actually gives it a little bit more character. I actually prefer it to the round link concept.
