Christ and the four evangelists.The Maltese Cross (of the Knights Hospitaller or the Knights of Malta) has equally great symbolism...The eight points of the Maltese Cross symbolize the eight obligations or aspirations of the knights:1. to live in truth2. to have faith3. to repent one's sins4. to give proof of humility5. to love justice6. to be merciful7. to be sincere and wholehearted8. to endure persecutionI would love to know what the designer was thinking when he/she made this ring. Because it truly is a powerful display and a daily reminder of my faith in Jesus Christ.As far as recommending...the quality is really good. The ring appears very shiny when you open the box compared to how it appears online. But after wearing it a few days it tones down to just right. Considering what the ring represents it feels the right size as far as thickness and wideness go. I wear it as a thumb ring however it could be worn on any finger and look great. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a piece of jewelry with a deep meaning. Great job to the designer and love that it is made in the USA.
