I was looking for a piece of topaz for a young friends' report, and when I found this, I realized it would also serve to finish my Mohs scale collection. No-brainer; I bought it. I hadn't really looked for topaz before because I thought it would be too expensive, but I was very happy to find the mineral so cheap in the rough. Described as an inch long, and it was. Another reason I purchased here is because it was shipped from the US and came in a few days.

The stone came and looked exactly as described in the pictures. It is beautiful. I tried drilling into it without realizing that topaz is temperature sensitive but ended up wire wrapping and it came out nicely as a gift.
