I ordered this Amazon Collection Stainless Steel 6MM Rope Chain Necklace for my teenage son, who has recently expressed interest in jewelry depicting Fenrir and other Norse mythology characters. He has some lovely pieces, but one thing they all have in common is that they come with very delicate chains that he cannot open and close with his larger fingers. No adolescent boy wants to go to his mother every time he wants to remove or put on his necklace. This stainless necklace looks nice and is more adequate for a teenage boy than more delicate necklaces. The lobster claw clasp is much larger than the ones on his current necklaces, and he can open and close it by himself. So this works perfectly for him.

This is a strong thick chain that is slightly over 23". It has a generous sized lobster clasp that is easy to open and close. The chain is a nice darker silver color which I anticipated with it being stainless steel. The chain I received does attract to a neodymium magnet, but it is not a strong attraction as with most stainless steel jewelry I have. If I run my fingers along the chain there are some link edges I can feel tiny burrs on some of the links where the open ends of the link meets. These are not enough to hurt or break skin, but I don't think I would risk wearing it with a sweater because it might snag on the fabric. Having said this, it would still make a nice necklace to wear by itself or to use with a larger size statement pendant.
