I had been looking for a well made enamel St. Benedict medal and am very glad I stumbled upon this one on Amazon. Others I looked at were either too small or appeared to be carelessly made (enamel coloring covering letters and the like).This St. Benedict medal is well made and looks exactly like the pictures. The enamel coloring is carefully applied and is very attractive. The letters are clear and easy to read. Lightweight but strong, I anticipate it lasting a long time.The medal is 1-1/4 inches in diameter. However, while the description says its the size of a quarter, its actually larger, closer to the size of a half dollar.I don't think you can go wrong with this medal!

Beautiful medal well worth the price, which is very, very modest. The design is accurate and deep, almost like a signet ring. What ever you believe, the medal of St. Benedict is long beheld to bless the carrier and protect while acting as a repellant to unsavory creatures of the dark...As legend tells us. If your Catholic, have your perish priest bless it.

...eventually much of the finish wore away under my husband's constant wear. I offered to buy him a different one but he was adamant about keeping this one, so I purchased a brand new one of this same medal for him. I guess I'll have to keep doing this at least once a year unless he agrees to change over to another St. Benedict medal.

Definitely did NOT read dimensions on this so when it filled the size of my palm, I didn't have use for it anymore. But the paint looks good and I like the medal itself.

This medal is attractive and well made. The letters and figures are well defined. The colors are bright and clear. I would expect this medal to last for a long time.

I was extremely happy with this medal. It shipped fast and the quality is very impressive for the price. Top notch paint job, very classy engraving and does not look cheap at all. Theres really not much else to say about it. This is a great gift for someone and is really a beautiful medal.
