Received as a gift. Great alternative for a less expensive June birthstone. (Pearls can't be worn every day and Alexandrite are SUPER expensive) Smoky quartz is a great "backup". Dainty size make them look higher quality. Comfortable and secure backings.

I chose garnet because I wanted red earrings. I did not choose ruby because often ruby earrings come out more pink than red. Instead what I got was neither red nor pink but a dark yellow. I understand that garnets come in many colors, but the ones pictured advertised are dark red. My packaging states garnet, not topaz or citrine which are yellow gems. Again my earrings are nowhere near a red hue. I will not be ordering again and I would warn anyone wanting accurate earrings not to as well.
