I bought these as a little gift. They are in fact 4mm. They're small but not minuscule. They can be worn as regular studs or for your extra earring holes just fine. If you like studs have bigger pop statement they will probably be too small for your taste. Consult a rulerAs others said the color pay off is a bit lighter. However, in the case, specifically for the London Blue this price point and color pay off is more than adequate. I think people should keep in mind that most of these are supposed to be real stones. And the value of stone is rises with it's clarity and color saturation. Thus at a lower price point you are going to have lighter colored stones.The back stoppers are a clear kind of rubber and the silver used is shiny and clean (no imperfections or odd bumps etc) I found the packaging rather nice too.

I like gemstone or gold/silver ball studs that are SMALL for everyday wear. Something that looks nice, is comfortable, and has short enough posts to sleep in. These fit the bill. Only thing I'm not super fond of is screw on posts. I have some hand issues and they're hard for me to twist. However, I've had pierced ears forever and have a jar of earring backs with holes of different sizes, and I found two backs with large enough holes to slide on. They fit snugly, which is fine - I hate losing earrings and like the concept of twist-on backs, but they're just hard to use. Usually I don't buy them, but these looked like such a good item that I thought I'd try. I'm very glad I did - these look like miniature black diamond studs. Yes - they're SMALL - read the description, no reason people should be unhappy with the size. Also, are packaged nicely - would make a good gift. Would definitely recommend.

Pretty little earrings but the backs are very small and were difficult for me to put on because I have neuropathy in my fingers

The stone doesn’t appear to have any blue to it. When I first opened then I thought I was sent the wrong earrings. Very disappointing

See the way this earring looks on the model? Well, they are about half that size. So small that I could hardly hold it in my hand to put it on. And so very difficult to get on. AND to get off. I honestly thought I would have to go to the ER to get some help getting these off. Don't buy them. They are all right for a small child but completely wrong for an adult. Even in the second piercing they are so small no one will ever see them.
