Very nice ring at a great price point. I’ve showered with it on and I wash my hands with it on and it’s held up perfectly. Lightweight. The head of the snake is not full, it’s a little hollow. But that doesn’t seem to interfere with the integrity of the ring.

This ring is not true to size; the size 5 in this ring definitely fits like a size 4. Unfortunately, the photo of this ring does not reveal that the inside of the front half of the shank including the head and tail of the snake is completely hollowed out. Since this ring is tiny and thin to begin with, the hollowing out of the small amount of sterling silver in the shank greatly reduces the strength/durability of the ring. This ring would make a decent pinky ring since it would probably not receive as much impact on one's pinky as on other fingers. It definitely would not make a good thumb or pointer finger ring because of the thinness of the hollowed-out sterling silver front half is weak. As far as the design is concerned, this ring is delicate and beautiful. I love the visual impact of being wound around one's finger because the intricately-carved diamond-snakeskin pattern extends all the way around the entire shank so it looks like a real snake from every angle (this is another reason that this ring would make a good pinky ring since the side and back of a pinky ring are highly noticeable). For a more substantial sterling silver snake ring, I recommend  Oxidized Snake Coil Loop Knot Animal Ring .925 Sterling Silver Band Size 5 . I was very impressed with the weight/thickness of the sterling silver used in that ring. My main reason for returning this ring is that it is not true to size. If you are going to purchase this ring, buy it to wear as a pinky ring and order one size larger.
