Screw-in is the best for me to withstand 24/7 wear & tear, e.g., drying my face with a towel or blowing my nose. One review is baffled with why ppl wear these, but I have adored this style since I had to buy handmade ones on Venice beach CA in the 1990s! Yup, it can be a struggle initially, but it pays off. Tip: use hewelry-making sized plyers to “install” in your nose to keep it from slipping, also try a teeny bit of neosporin on the post to slide in smoothly.I wear my nose rings for months without fear of poking my inside nostril if I press on my nose, or having a simple bar ring fly out anytime I touch my face, plus sleeping in the bar ones…never find them again after falling out at night. Screw-in is the best for long-term wearers.Now, about this specific n.ring:1) seems more like 22g than 24g2) long post; post was too long for me (did not lay flush inside nostril) and bend was too tight upon arrival so I cut it down/sanded edge soft/rebent bar to a readonably wide U shape for my piercing.3) smooth setting; stone appears very stable, slept for many nights, towel dried face, spf on face, etc. NO catching on anything so far, YAHOO!4) metal appears crisp and I look forward to learning if it tarnishes or chips at all.5) I may buy small gem just because it fits so well, I can have a few options. I like to stire a backup in my travel bag, too.ONLY WISH: higher gauge post, it def seemed bigger than 24g, which makes it harder to bend while adjust into hole & against inside of my nostril.
