TL;DR pin itself was clear and easy to read, the closure is what made it a no for me.It appears that the quality of these pins varies wildly between manufacturers. Some have bad printing/enamel on the front but these looked great! However,the bar of the pin was not very sharp and a bit thick - was hard to pin on to backpack or jacket and the bar across the back wanted to bend instead of going thru the fabric. If you intend to switch up where you wear the pin, you might want to choose a pin with a different backing. If you intend to put it on one item and leave it there then this might work for you. I purchased these and wanted to keep 1 and give the other to a fellow neurospicy adult friend. Not suitable for gift giving. If they were dirt cheap and was keeping both for myself I could see giving them a slightly higher rating. However, for the price and my needs, these only rate a 2.

These are very cheap...the lightning bolt slides and does not stay in place for the mood you choose. I returned them. Needs to be a little more sturdy.

These pins are loose. You can’t set your mood because the lightning bolt just slides back and forth. I put a bead of hot glue around the track to make the slot smaller for the lightning bolt to stay in place. That worked for a few hours as the glue heated and melted off. I was excited about this pin and I’m going to continue to try and get the bolt to stay in place to display my mood.

The thing I don't like is that it slides waaay to easily. Would be better if there was a gasket or if it clicked from one bar to the next.
