It's a great "starter" necklace for a child. The chain are those tiny metal ball necklaces that we all have on some kind of jewelry. The piece itself is actually made really well (or should I say "machined"). Now that I just looked at the picture for it on Amazon, the chain is different than what we got lol. If we got the one that's in the picture that wouldv'e been SWEET and I might have stolen it from my son haha. But yea, it's just one of those cheap chains NOT the one advertised. hmm... That kinda bothers me now. I'll give it 4 stars out of 5 because of the false advertisement.Other than that, my son loves it so does it REALLY matter? Not really. Should be $9.99

I had really liked the way this Easyski Sports Pendant Bible Verse Luke 1:37 Athletes (Stainless Steel/22" Chain/2.Black Basketball Sports Necklace) looked in the product photos, so I was very happy that it looked as I'd hoped it would in person as well. The black design has a bit of a gloss to it (not matte black), and contrasts well with the debossed or engraved area that looks a bit more dark gray & matte. That was the design detail, that contrast & almost black-on-black aesthetic, that I loved the most about this pendant. It looks simple, yet unique. And the verse on the back of the pendant is clear & easily readable. The matching black box chain is sturdy & long enough to wear underneath a uniform, if worn during games. And it comes with a velvet-like drawstring bag for ready gift-giving or to store in when not being worn (helpful, since the glossy surface is prone to smudges or fingerprints).
