Real sterling silver. Simple ring, not fancy but nice knot pattern. The stone is a little smaller than I was expecting, but I didn't get a ruler out and measure the dimensions on paper before ordering to know what to accurately expect. The pictures are accurate, good joins and the details in the open work of the celtic knots on the side are well done. The band is a little lighter weight than I was hoping for, but it does fit the overall style and size of the ring. It hasn't misshapen or bent yet, but it may if I catch it wrong. This stone does color change but it is not dramatic, or vibrant. It changes from a teal to a soft purple-ish tone.I like the smooth bezel set and it has been a comfortable everyday wear for the last couple weeks.

I was a little hesitant buying jewelry online as a gift. I expected maybe a lightweight ring that might not hold up. But, this ring is surprisingly sturdy, nice weight, great quality, and beautiful. The ruby has a slight pink tone to it. I would buy again as a gift or for myself in this color or any of their other colors.

The media could not be loaded.  I loved the Celtic design of these rings and spent way too much time trying to decide which stone I liked the most. It was a very difficult choice. Finally, I narrowed my choice down to three rings and googled the characteristics of each stone. I decided on the alexandrite ring. I had never heard of alexandrite, but I discovered that it changes from tones of pink to blue, depending on the light. I don’t care that this is not my birthstone or that it is a simulated stone.The ring looks like a quality piece. The stone is set well in the ring setting, so I am confident that it will not fall out. The inside of the shank of the ring is marked 925, for sterling silver, so I am confident it will not turn green. It is a nice weight and feels sturdy. It’s a steal for the price. I am all about buying a pretty, sturdy, well made piece of jewelry and that is exactly what I received. It feels comfortable on my finger, as if it was meant to be there and I feel we were meant to be together. I do think this ring would make a very nice gift. The only difficulty will be trying to decide between all the beautiful stones.
