These 5 pairs of steel earrings are reasonably priced for what you get. I have seen one pair for almost the price of all 5 pairs. I bought these for my almost 4 year old daughter to upgrade the size from her piercing earrings (which are also surgical or stainless steel). I thought she may have been pierced with the smallest size - 2mm - but after receiving them I see 2mm must be what a 6 month old gets pierced with. My daughter's piercing earrings are the 3mm, so when she is ready to swap them out I will give her the 4mm. Right now I am wearing the 5mm myself and they are perfect size for my particular lobes. All in all these are a nice set, and perfect for those with multiple piercings in their ears.*****UPDATED******I am updating this review 5 years later!!!! This is one of my longest use items I have bought from amazon. 5 years later I am wearing these earrings daily, they still look great, never tarnished, never had an allergic reaction, no infections. My daughter has worn the smaller sized ones with no issue. The pic shows them at the 4mm & 3mm sizes.

I have been buying stainless steel or titanium for years now because if I wear anything else my ears get red, irritated and infected. Round ball studs are very easy to keep clean and do not get snagged on anything, so they are my usual choice. This deal offers five pairs; each different sizes and in a very attractive blue. I personally found only three sizes useful for myself, but gave the other two pair away to a friend. For the price, it's still a steal! I did not give five stars because on one of the pairs there was a sharp sliver of metal or something that splintered up near the ball. I was able to pull it off. It came off smoothly and did not leave behind any more splinter,s so tried it on and it has been fine. I thought it should be mentioned, but otherwise, nice earrings, beautiful color, sturdy and scratch resistant. I would buy them again.

I love that the graduated sizes decrease and increase very subtly. Classy. Very comfortable in my sensitive ears. I also love that the clasps on the back of these are black as well. Almost makes a statement too. ;-)

What is 2mm? Look it up the sizes in some way before buying. Only the biggest size I use. The rest are too small for me. True stainless steel.

These black earrings are very cute. They are smaller than I thought they would be, but all in all, I am happy with my purchase. You get 5 pairs of assorted sizes. The smallest being the size of a tiny dot, and the largest the size of a small pea. Also included is a small black bag to keep them in if you choose to do so. I have had them in my ears for about 3 days now and they are comfortable. I can even sleep in them with no discomfort. I thought maybe they might hurt not being real sterling silver, but this has not been the case. They are stainless steel. The black enamel has not, as yet, peeled off like some people have experienced. If your looking for large ball earrings, then these are not the ones for you. These are petite and really cute for the price.

Metal Sensitive ApprovedI am extremely sensitive to alloy-blends that include even the most infinitesimal traces of nickel. I have problems wearing titanium and niobium - both touted as good alternatives. I don't like gold, nor can I wear it anyway. Therefore I have to be especially careful when buying earrings, and for some reason I do better with hooks and hoops than I do studs. When I buy earrings usually, I have to manually replace the hook that will penetrate my lobe (as I have a bag-full of jewelers-surgical steel grade hooks and a pair of needle-nose pliers). But I, like many people, have multiple piercings so I like to mix and match my earrings and wanted a series of simple studs. With my older holes these passed the overnight test as I was able to wear them all day and sleep in them without irritation (itching, reddening or swelling). Can't say for my newer holes (and when I say newer I mean those that are less than 10 years old and always had problems anyway). They get a little tender. I can at least wear them during the day in those without a problem, so long as I take them out before bedtime. I would highly recommend these to anyone who suffers from any kind of sensitivity. Inexpensive and I love that they come in varying sizes. I'm considering ordering another set.
