I gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she cried. It is truly an open locket. You open it up and can put two different pictures in it looking outwards. There is a see through plastic piece that protects the pictures. It is very well made and sturdy. It is also easy to change out the pictures. The chain in average but sturdy and longer. It makes a very special gift.

Mom lost her dog, Ruby, this past summer, so I got this locket pendant to keep her fur in. Perfect size and depth for this gift. I did reinforce the closing with a tiny dot of superglue (not sure if it was needed, but just in case). Great gift and just the right size.

I put a lock of hair in it. It was not easy to do because the hinge is very tight. But I was able to open it and put the hair inside and close it while holding the hair together. It is very lovely, a little larger than I thought but that was fine. The craftsmanship is excellent and the chain was lovely too, as described.

My sister and I are going to Mexico and I bought 2 of these as little memory gifts. I was looking for a stainless pendant rather than sterling just for ease of maintenance. This is nice although I prefer the shiny back side to the actual front so that's how I filled it. The chain is a bit long for us and I wanted to order shorter ones. The information above says this is a "curb" chain so that's what I ordered. Well, I now know that the really pretty chain that comes with this is actually a Diamond Cut Cable Link, so now I need to reorder 2 more chains. The chain on the left is the Curb and the chain on the right is the one that comes with it. (just FYI in case someone else does the same thing)

Picked this item over similar items after a lot of comparison shopping both here on Amazon and on Etsy. I ended up picking this item because it came with a nice chain for the same price that many shops were selling just the locket. I bought it for a birthday gift and filled it with sea glass I had found myself this past summer. It turned out amazing and I cannot wait to see my Aunt's face when she opens it. I'm going to buy 4 more to give as gifts this Christmas. I highly recommend it!
