I have super sensitive ears and have not had any reactions. I don't wear them in any water so I don't know how long they would last being exposed to the shower or the pool but I've been wearing them almost daily for a month and they are still in good shape. They have a longer post so I have to remove them for sleeping but I usually run into that with any earing that has a post so it's not a deal breaker for me. Also they don't poke into anything during the day which was my biggest fear after reading how they are longer. I love how they fit and look.
