You never quite know what to expect when ordering online but this necklace is just like the photos. This piece is a decent size that is not too small nor too large, it's about an inch tall without the bail. The bail is not tiny so an average size chain will fit this if you want to change the one it comes with that is not sterling silver like the charm. The shield has embossing that shows the rivets along the edge and lines behind the cross and it has a medieval look to it. There is a bible verse on the back side of the charm. This is a unique piece that would be a great gift for a man.
