I’ve had my ears stretched for decades. I’ve used all sorts of things as jewelry, from surgical steel, or silicon, to old 40 oz bottle caps. I’ve never had any problems. About two weeks after wearing this product I started developing an irritating itch behind my ears. I did not think much about it. They then devolved into full blown open weeping wounds. I didn’t know what was going on, but I eventually removed the plugs and within one day the wounds had started healing. Maybe it was just some sort of allergic reaction to me personally, but buyer beware.

They're really comfortable but 100% make sure you clean them, then clean them again, then clean them again and after you've warn them clean them another 5 times. I've owned a lot of wood plugs with no issues but for some reason these keep leaking what I can only assume is stain? I use baby wipes for everything and then slather petroleum jelly to keep wood from drying out but these almost constantly have a residue on them. Thankfully it hasn't messed with the integrity of my lobes or given any irritation or infection but it's still kinda gross to constantly have to wipe stain or whatever it is off.

Organic feel, I like that they arnt thick like other ones I've bought they have a low profile . The lightweight wood feels nice . Good bang for your buck on these can't beat it

I’ve had my ears stretched for 20 years and this is the first time I’ve had this issue. Should have read the previous reviews. I read that both ebony and teak can cause this issue. It’s likely the oils in the wood and they should have been treated before being sold.
