These are actually a pretty good pocket watch for being inexpensive, so far they have been accurate on keeping time, they are built with over wind protection, and their just a nice looking basic time piece. Th blk. is polished, but fairly subdued, th gold is polished, and astecticaly respectful with a suit. Their a great buy!

When I'm working outdoors and in the yard I prefer to not wear my wristwatch A) because it's what I wear when I go out in public, and B) I don't want the "white band" it gives me, over time, in the sun. But I usually need to know the time so a pocket watch satisfies my needs. I don't want an expensive watch that might get damaged or dirty. The pocket watch fits the needs perfectly...and I'm happy with them!

I've learned that just because an item's picture LOOKS like the thing you remember as being of high quality, doesn't mean you'll get it. The magnetic pickup tool comes to mind. It came in a twofer pack, but I immediately dropped one under the front seat and used the other one to retrieve it. It's still there, I guess. I'll get to it... But there are few things I've run across that match this item for price, relative quality, usefulness and fun. Buyer Beware! however... read the comments. Some customers had a different experience. From the moment I opened the box until the moment I gave these to a friend's tweens twins as a gift I couldn't stop marveling at the value. So, I just bought 2 more sets. Beyond party favor bauble, these watches compete for coolest inexpensive giveaway. I don't know how long they'd last if they were used like the real thing, but to pop one out for a smooth move now and then probably would give you more than one occasion. All I know is, the twins loved 'em...

For those saying their batteries were dead.....my 81 year old father ordered these, and expected them to work right out of the box. There's a little plastic tab ( you have to pay attention, but it's there) that pulls out, right under the top knob on the watch. That is a protective thing that keeps the batteries from draining before being used. Most battery operated toys, and many other battery operated items, have a similar feature. Once I looked at the watches and found these, I was able to calm his upset over them not ticking right out of the box....

2 comes in the set - One had the smallest scratch, but it'll be okay. Still need the perfect Fob for it tho.
