I have a few memento mori necklaces and this one is definitely the most... intricate of them. The engraving is really well done and super detailed. All of the letters are visible and sharp, as are the skull and tree. It's like, coin-quality (if that makes sense). The darkening/patina really makes all of the raised parts pop and its easily readable even from a distance. I really like that the charm isn't too big or small, it's not overwhelmingly large nor is it too tiny to read... just right. I was actually worried that the center part spun, but it doesn't... so that's a relief. As far as metals go, i'm pretty sure the charm is solid sterling. The chain is SLIGHTLY magnetic so i'm not entirely sure about that... but the charm definitely looks and feels like silver. Chain is a good size and length, a little thick for my taste but not awful... and it hangs right around the top of my sternum. Very well made and already got a few compliments on it.
