I was looking for something I could wear and chose this item because of its rustic look. When it arrived, I was surprised by how beautiful the piece actually was. It is small enough to wear but not tiny. The size is perfect. It was unexpectedly heavier than I anticipated. This is not a bad thing. It is a solid piece, something I was not expecting in such an inexpensive item. Also, mine came with a string to wear the crucifix around the neck with although this was not in the picture nor description and other reviewers had complained about there not being one with this item. I was pleasantly surprised and used it immediately. However, I do not expect this to last for long as it is just a simple string and the crucifix is, as said, not a lightweight or a cheap looking piece. If you are wearing it often, the string will need to be upgraded to something stronger at some point. Finally, the little “booklet” explaining the latin is small - the same size as the cross itself. You might need a magnifying glass to read it all - there is a lot of latin to explain. Overall, this is a great item for the price and I am much happier with it than I would have been had I spent a lot more money. Great, great value.
