The case with the movement is wood. The band is plastic made to look like wood. I collect skelleton watches so the wood case and steam punk skelleton mechanical movement was a sure buy for me. If you are a collector of skelleton watches this is a must buy. As in all my purcheses of mechanical watches I set the time, wind the stem and then set the watch aside for 24 hours to see how much time is gained or lost. This watch lost 4 minutes in 25 hours. After 24 hours the watch was dead. This is a self winding automatic watch so if you wear it a lot it may never quit.

When I pay 60 dollars for a watch I expect the parts to work and last longer than a week. Within a week of arrival, the front glass fell out and the winding arm also broke, and that was the replacement for the one that arrived already broken. Stear clear if you think you're buying quality.

This is a stunning watch that will draw compliments no doubt. Just be very careful when removing bracelet pins. If you remove the incorrect direction it will break the wooden links. Unfortunately there are no clear instructions or arrows on the bracelet to tell you this. Otherwise beautiful!

I use this watch for every day use, but I take it off if I’m doing anything that could damage the watch, like working on the yard or doing dishes. That being said, the wood case and band still get a little banged up, which is okay with me. The movement is pretty accurate; I haven’t needed to adjust the time unless I haven’t worn the watch for a long time and the movement has stopped. As long as the watch is worn every day, the automatic movement keeps the watch wound. I only need to wind it if I don’t wear it for a few days.I have a large wrist, but I still needed to remove a few links. There were no instructions or tool included to remove links, but I was able to figure that out on my own. I used a small punch to push the pin out, which is held in by its taper. Be very careful though, as the small pieces of wood will easily split and break during this process.I would buy this watch again!

I did like this, but since it is wood, my semi active life, had cracked the outer face of watch in less than a week. If you do not do too much, it should be fine. But if you are active, becareful because it is made of wood, and is easier to damage than classic metal base watches.
