After reading some other reviews, I was concerned about the possible color but ordered it anyway. As far as I am concerned, it is gold colored. I compared the coloring to my high school ring from long ago which is partially gold. No one has stopped me and asked me why I am wearing fake gold.I have had the ring for about a month now and have banged it in a variety of ways as part of normal life. It has held up very well with no apparent scratches or dings.My only other comment is about sizing. I actually ordered a ring sizing set first and still got this ring in a half size too small so I had to exchange it. I think the problem was that the rings in the sizing set were very skinny and this ring is very wide. It is much easier get a skinny ring off your finger than a wide one because the skin bunches up under the wide ring. So I don't think my original ring was mis-sized, but you have to allow for the width difference.
