Richard Miller
Sure. As the great James McMillan III would doubtless say, "the PRICE is too darn HIGH"! Also, it doesn't actually say "Alpinist" on it anywhere. Further nitpicks might include observing that the exhibition back unnecessarily adds a millimeter to its depth, and the compass feature implementation is impractical and gimmicky. All that said, in its' iconic Japanese domestic market-only "midori" (green), this watch is as beautiful, classy, and practical as a simple mechanical tool watch can be. Beyond the GMT feature, date window placement, numbering differences, and lack of cyclops, a few features that are less obvious in pictures are the *domed* sapphire crystal (vs flat for the non-GMT versions), and the "diamond shield" hardening on the stainless-steel case to reduce scratching. Valuable upgrades that make it look good and will keep it looking good longer. Watch band compatibility with Uncle Seiko and Miltat bands intended for the SARB017 is confirmed.UPDATE: Two weeks later, I received a $30 invoice to pay for $18 bucks worth of US Customs tax, and the rest was pure price-gouging rent-seeking piracy on the part of FedEx!
